Mission Statement
The International Cabaret Conference At Yale University is an intensive
nine-day teaching program in the art of cabaret and trains professionals
for the live entertainment industry. The award-winning faculty guides
forty students in a collaborative process to examine cabaret performance
technique. We believe that what makes cabaret a unique art form
is the intimate connection between performer and audience. Consequently,
the universal quality of a song's lyrics and music is communicated
by the committed artist. Cabaret isn't seen so much as felt. At
The International Cabaret Conference at Yale, we work to develop
singers into artists who will bring their intelligence, empathy
and life experience to their work.
The International Cabaret Conference at Yale University is a not-for-profit
not-for-profit corporation recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization
by the IRS and relies upon the contributions of individuals and
institutions in both the public and private sectors whose donations
help to sustain our annual programs and concerts.
